40 killed in Iraq suicide bombing

At least 40 people were killed Tuesday morning when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside an Iraqi army recruiting centre in Baghdad, officials were quoted by local media as saying.
At least 100 people were also injured in the blast which appeared to be targeting mostly soldiers, police and new recruits.

China Mudslide reaches 1,239 deaths

The death toll from the massive mudslide in Zhouqu County, northwest China’s Gansu Province, has risen to 1,239 as of 4 p.m. Saturday, with 505 still missing, local disaster relief headquarters said.

Soldier dies after helicopter crashes into look-out

Over 100 killed in China Landslide
